Sustainable and Stylish Fashion From JoJo Maman Bébé | Review

jojo mama bebe

JoJo Maman Bébé has long been recognised as a brand that blends timeless children’s fashion with a strong commitment to sustainability, and their new summer collection for girls is no exception. It’s vibrant, fun and practical. We were sent 5 pieces from the new collection to review and below you can read our honest review and find out which pieces, if any, we would recommend.

JoJo Maman Bébé and sustainability

Here at The Healthy Parent we are committed to helping families make simple changes to their lifestyles that will enhance their life which is why we promote companies that care about the world we live in and JoJo Maman Bébé is one such brand.

In 2016, JoJo became the UK’s first B Corp childrenswear brand, meaning they are for-profit company certified to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency, balancing profit with purpose.

They use responsibly sourced fabrics and durable designs meaning their clothes are made to last beyond one season and if you are unable to get more wear out of it due to growth and don’t have anyone to pass it on to they encourage you to use their reloved takeback scheme to prevent good quality clothes with life still in them ending up in landfills.

The Summer Collection

The new girls’ summer collection for 2026 captures everything you would want for the warmer months:

  • soft breathable fabrics
  • playful prints
  • bright colours
  • beautifully detailed pieces
  • comfortable
  • stylish

The range is vast with something for everyone from floral dresses, lightweight cotton tops, pastel co-ords and seaside-inspired prints.

One of the standout features of the collection is its versatility. Many of the pieces can easily transition from casual daytime outings to holiday dinners or family gatherings with the ability to mix and match pieces as needed too.

We were sent the following 5 pieces

Yellow Stripe Strawberry Sleeveless Embroidered Button Through Dress

This beautiful dress is available in sizes 6 months to 6-7 years and is one of my favourite pieces. The fabric is relatively thick and you can instantly feel the quality and I love the addition of the lining underneath too, for me this is the perfect dress for a summer evening or event.

The little strawberries are embroidered on making it look and feel much more expensive than it is and the two pockets on the front really add to the cuteness of the outfit.

The fact it is sleeveless means it is great for keeping little ones cool and makes moving around even easier and the colours mean a simple white cardigan can be added if needed as the evening gets cooler.

I love the splash of red against the yellow and white.

Pink Rainbow Stripe Frill Shoulder Playsuit

The Pink Rainbow Stripe Frill Shoulder Playsuit is my daughters favourite (she’s 6). She loves the colours but most of all she loves the fact that it’s a jumpsuit so she can climb trees and spend half her day upside down in hand stands and cartwheels without being told to stop flashing her knickers or wear shorts under her dress!

For me, it’s the ric-rac trim on the frill sleeves that makes it so special. It’s the perfect outfit for girls that want to be busy climbing, jumping and running but also love to be girly and colourful.

This outfit is very lightweight so perfect for the hotter days either here or on holiday. It’s available in sizes 6 months to 8-9 years, however, I would probably avoid getting this during the toilet training stages as although it is adorable it does have 3 small buttons that need to be undone to go to the loo, but pre and post potty training when emergency loo runs aren’t a thing then this is a must buy.

Pink Gingham Cherry Seersucker Knit Combo Appliqué Dress

We have never had a dress quite like this one before and I love the uniqueness of it. The top half is crochet and the bottom half is light cotton.

The crochet is surprisingly light weight and more stretchy then I expected and would be perfect for UK summer day or abroad summer evening.

The pink gingham is super cute and the addition of the crochet cherries on the bottom half of the dress really bring it all together.

Blue Ice Cream Smocked Strappy Dress

When I first had a baby girl I thought I would dress her head to foot in pink all day every day but the reality was that got boring very quickly so I love it when I find outfits that are still super girlie but also not just different shades of pinks and this is exactly what I mean.

The ice cream pattern instantly makes you think of summer days and the cross over straps at the back make it look more stylish and fun.

We found that this dress was a perfect day dress, it’s light, comfy and lots of fun.

Yellow Daisy V-Back Frill Dress

The final dress we were sent was the Yellow Daisy V-back frill dress which as the name suggests has the cutest V that exposes some of their back. This dress is similar to the Strawberry Stripe dress in that it is slightly heavier and is lined which for me makes them perfect evening or event dresses. They are still light enough to wear but add that little bit of extra warmth and durability too.

Overall we found all of the above pieces to be especially impressive. Each one screams quality and they look far more expensive than their £20-£28 price tags. They all have attention to detail and thoughtful touches such as embroidered fruits, ruffle sleeves and linings that make them stand out from other brands.

We also found that every piece was comfort and easy to move in which is very important for younger children.

Although we have our favourite pieces from the JoJo Maman Bébé’s new summer collection for girls we would actually recommend all 5 of these pieces as they successfully combine sustainability, comfort and style. So if you want to try and shop more sustainably when it comes to children’s fashion look no further than JoJo Maman Bébé.
