If you’re looking to upgrade your weekly meals with something that’s both delicious and a little bit healthier then Heck food range is worth a look. Last week we were sent a selection of their chicken products to try out and I must say that we were very happy with them indeed and have actually bought some more ourselves at the weekend, so safe to say we are now officially Heck converts.
What is Heck?
For those that haven’t heard of Heck it started as a family-run food company in Yorkshire, dedicated to crafting “food that brings you flavour you can swear by.” Their approach is simple: make proper food with great ingredients, but do it in a way that feels more mindful and inclusive. They make their products in small batches on their farm, emphasising high-quality British meat and recipes without unnecessary fillers or additives.
They have a great range of products from sausages and burgers to mince, meatballs and even meat-free options, all of which are gluten-free and made in a nut-free factory, which is great for families living with intolerances or dietary restrictions.
Our Review
We were sent
- Simply Chicken Sausages
- Chicken Italia Chipolatas
- Simply Chicken Chipolatas
- Chicken Italia Sausage rashers

All of these products were delicious but our stand out favourite was the Chicken Italia Sausage rashers. Partly because we had never had anything like them before but mainly because they were just so full of flavour and really versatile.
One of the things I loved about the whole range is that it is a healthier version of my children’s favourites so I don’t have to feel guilty saying no to repeat requests for burgers and sausages instead I can say yes knowing that the Heck ones are higher in protein and lower in fat and still delicious.
Despite not being our usual brand the kids loved them, it is one of the easiest food swaps we have ever done, so if you’re looking to make some family friendly meal swaps as part of your healthy parent journey then as a family of 5 we all highly recommend the Heck range which is available from most major supermarkets.
