REMEDY KOMBUCHA

This week we have been testing out some new drinks, Remedy kombucha. It can be hard to find nice drinks that are both alcohol free and good for you but that’s exactly what these claim to be, so let’s see what we think…

What is Kombucha?

Kombucha is the natural fermentation of sweet tea with a live culture and whilst this might not sound very appetising it actually is. It is believed to have been first created in China more than 2000 years ago and is now enjoyed world wide, not only for it’s health benefits but also for it’s great refreshing taste.

Remedy Kombucha

Remedy Kombucha takes the original idea of fermented tea with all the gut health and anti oxidant goodness and turns it into a deliciously refreshing sparkling drink. There are currently 6 incredible flavours to choose from

  • Raspberry Lemonade
  • Wild Berry
  • Mango Passion
  • Cherry Plum
  • Ginger Lemon
  • Orange Squeeze

We were kindly sent a selection of kombuchas and can confirm that all five flavours are delicious. My personal favourite is the mango passion, poured over ice on a warm day! Each one has a mix of sweet and sour tastes to it and is slightly sparkling. You can drink them straight form the can making them a great on-the-go drink or enjoy them at home over ice like I did.

The Remedy Kombucha drinks are a great choice to accompany you on your healthy parent journey as they are

  • alcohol free
  • vegan friendly
  • sugar free
  • free from artificial sweeteners
  • good for gut health
  • gluten free
  • HALA certified
  • low in calories (around 4 calories per can)

What’s more, they aren’t too expensive either with a box of 12 costing £18.49, or you can grab an individual can in most supermarkets including Morrisons, Tesco and Ocado.

For the those of you that are pregnant or breastfeeding you will be glad to know that you can still enjoy Remedy Kombucha throughout and, if you don’t mind sharing, then truth be told the kids can have them too!
