Whether your child is a Lilo and Stitch fan or just a sucker for creative play they are going to love the new Lilo and Stitch Aquabeads set. If you are not already familiar with aquabeads then they are fab, mess free, craft sets that require you, or your little one, to connect lots of little beads together in a design and then with the magic of water and time they all stick together bringing your creation to life as a tangible object.

The Lilo and Stitch Aquabeads set

We are big aquabeads fans in this house and often turn to them when we want to do some craft sessions so my daughter (5) and I couldn’t wait to try this set.

This all in one set includes:

  • 700 beads in 24 different colours,
  • a layout tray,
  • water sprayer,
  • two keychain attachments,
  • instruction and templates for designs.

First impressions

The packaging is great, engaging and fun and as a result would make this look like a great gift too. As soon as we opened it we could clearly see we had everything we would need to make the lilo and stitch key rings plus additional aquabead designs. What I loved from a parents perspective was that all the beads are separated into small packets so you can just open the ones you need one at a time instead of having all 700 beads to sift through when looking for certain colours.

My daughter instantly loved that some of the beads were marble effect and sparkly which clearly added an extra layer of excitement to her activity.

Once we had everything ready to go it was great to see that no only were there easy to read and follow instructions but that there were also picture templates of the Lilo and Stitch designs that we could copy to create our keyrings with ease.

Top Tip- count where the beads are from the end and then go down a row at a time adding the beads instead of doing it a colour at a time! This may not look like it’s working but trust the process, believe me.

This set is aimed at 4+ and I certainly think those aged 4 would enjoy it but if they want to replicate the designs on the box, even with the templates they will need substantial help until at least 7. However, if they wat to make random bead designs they would use this independently from 4, as long as you trust them not to put the beads in their mouth.

Overall we loved it and would recommend it.
