unearthed

Have you ever been on holiday and spent the week eating and drinking everything it has to offer and then flown home and immediately regretted not filling your suitcase with all your favourites? Well if that sounds familiar then you need to check out unearthed.

Unearthed started in 2008 when they realised that people wanted good quality products from around the world but at affordable prices. They started off with olives but soon expanded their product lines to include meatballs, garlic prawns, pork rillettes and so much more and they kindly sent us some to try.

Olives

Of course we had to try the olives seen as they were what started unearthed in the first place. We were sent two different flavours; green olives and semi dried tomatoes and chili olives. Both sets were absolutely delicious and full of flavour, we will definitely be buying them again as we are big olive eaters in this house.

Italian Style Platter

We were also sent the Italian Style platter that contains

  • Pitted nocellara olives
  • Italian salami
  • Provolone cheese
  • Fig chutney

This looks great and would be perfect for when you have friends over and don’t have the time to prepare anything. It has a great mix of flavours and products with something for everyone. My favourite was the fig chutney, I definitely could have eaten more of this and was very reluctant to share it with the kids!

Spanish Spinach Omelette

I hate to admit it but I had never tried a Spanish omelette before. I wasn’t really too sure what it was but was eager to give it a go. It says you can eat it hot or cold, we had ours hot and I’m not sure I’d be a fan cold but hot was lovely. The best way to describe it is like an English omelette but with potato’s and spinach in it. It’s thicker than your usual omelette and a lot more filling too. I feel like it shouldn’t work but it really does and I found myself going back for a second slice.

Mediterranean vegetable tortilla minis

Again this was something new for us and we couldn’t wait to try them. They are a similar consistency to the Spanish omelette and are packed full of flavour. The kids weren’t a big fan of these but the adults loved them! Again we had ours hot but it does say you can eat them cold and I do think these would be just as nice cold actually, making them perfect for lunch boxes.

Overall we really enjoyed the unearthed products, they gave us a delicious tapas style meal which was reminiscent of our holidays and we will definitely be buying some more of the olives and the platter in December when we have friends over.

If you fancy trying any of the unearthed products you can get them in Waitrose, Asda, coop, Sainsburys and Tesco.
